When Ozempic exploded into public conversation in 2023, Canadians got left with the American version of the internet. Most of the search results, most of the influencer content, most of the pricing, most of the "get it in 24 hours!" landing pages were written for a US audience — often for compounded or "research" peptides that would be illegal to import into Canada.
Flatland Health started in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, as a Prairie-first answer to those questions: What's actually legal in Canada? What does SK Drug Plan cover? Which Canadian telehealth clinics are legit? What does a real prescription cost in Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, or Calgary?
We considered a commerce-first path in the peptide space early on. We chose not to. Selling or steering people toward unauthorized injectables isn't a business we want — so Flatland Health is an authorized-only editorial and affiliate education site: compare legitimate Canadian telehealth, explain the rules plainly, and send gray-market pitches packing.
Our provider comparisons focus on Health Canada–authorized GLP-1 / GIP medicines marketed in Canada: semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound). Our peptide pages are education — not a store — and we do not promote research-use-only or unauthorized injectables. No exceptions.
Provincial drug plans, telehealth licensing, cold-chain shipping to rural addresses — the Prairie details that get glossed over on Toronto-first health sites are the ones we make sure to cover.
We may earn affiliate commissions from Canadian telehealth clinics we recommend once Impact (or equivalent) partnerships are live. Commissions don't change patient price and don't buy placement or ranking. If a provider stops meeting our standards, they come off the site.
We publish education. We are not a clinic, not a pharmacy, and not your prescriber. Every important claim on the site is tied back to a Health Canada, provincial-formulary, or peer-reviewed source.
Flatland Health is owned and operated from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan by Joel Pinel, with a small network of Canadian editors and — where applicable for a given article — clinical reviewers. We aim to have a licensed Canadian pharmacist review medication-specific content before publication.
